US District Judge John Roll Killed at US Rep Giffords’s Shooting

This senseless crime is tragic.  U.S. District Judge John Roll was among the dead when a Tucson shooter opened fire at a political rally and shot US Representative Giffords in the head.  The media is reporting that Judge Roll happened to spot a friend when he was shopping and stopped to speak.  Judge Roll was struck by a bullet when the shooter opened fire on Giffords.  A nine year old child is also among the dead.  Giffords had surgery to her head wound and one of her surgeons was optimistic about her recovery.
